Underground Latex Cosplay
Angelia Russo stepped into this shoot wrapped in tight, glossy latex, paired with platform boots that added that charged, underground edge I wanted. She stood in the dim, concrete space as if she owned it, bringing her usual mix of confidence and quiet intensity.
She’s a cosplayer through and through, but what sets her apart is how she treats every transformation. She doesn’t disappear into a character or mimic someone else’s odd behavior. She slips into a new shell while staying herself completely, and that authenticity makes every frame stronger. She loves shifting her outer layer, exploring a new form without losing her center, and latex is the perfect medium for that.
That’s exactly why we work so well together. She approached me long before my latex label was ready to take shape, already dreaming about bringing cosplay and latex into the same universe without losing that grounded sense of identity. Photographing her in latex feels like capturing a second skin that expresses a side of her she doesn’t always show. Other perspectives might say cosplay is about performance or escape, but for her, it’s clarity, an amplification of who she already is. That’s how we came together as collaborators: latex as a shell, with her personality pulsing underneath. It’s simple, clean, and honest, and it keeps pulling us back for more.
