Alexandra Potter was impressed by how striking the extreme platform boots looked on Valerie Tramell and wanted to try them herself. That curiosity led to a small extra photo series, turning an unplanned moment into its own spontaneous set. I always like it when something grows naturally out of the energy of the day, and this was exactly that kind of situation.

We went into the city intending to shoot inside the Dome, but it was closed. Still, the outside worked well enough to give the series its own atmosphere, and sometimes an unexpected limitation can create a stronger result than the original plan. The stone walls and open urban setting provided a clean backdrop that let the outfit and posture carry the image.

What makes this set memorable to me is its spontaneity. Alexandra did it just for latexperiment, and that gave the shoot a certain immediacy and honesty that a more carefully arranged production might not have had. It feels like a quick detour that unexpectedly turned into something stylish and worth keeping.
