Highstyle in Black & White

Valerie Tramell wanted to present a look that felt completely her own, combining latex in different forms with a new dress and hat she had chosen especially for this shoot. That personal input is what gives the series its identity, because the styling feels less like something imposed and more like an extension of her own taste and imagination.

We chose a location that gave us room to work with shifting perspectives and different lighting situations, and that decision shaped the atmosphere of the whole series. The strong contrasts, the black-and-white treatment, and the structured setting all help create a mood that comes close to the visual attitude of the early 1920s, with a modern Highstyle interpretation layered over it.

What I like most is how naturally Valerie fits into that concept. She carries the look with confidence, and the mix of latex, fashion details, and cinematic styling gives the shoot both character and coherence. Together with the video, it becomes more than a simple fashion series and feels like a small visual world of its own.
