Contemporary Latex Shoot

I had the idea to dress Beth May in a layered look built from opera gloves, stockings, a corset, and a catsuit underneath, and that combination gave the shoot a very distinct presence from the start. What I liked most was how the outfit felt both structured and expressive, because each piece added another level to the overall impression without making it feel overloaded. It created a strong visual line that suited her perfectly and gave me room to shape the session around elegance and control.

Beth added the headphones herself, and that detail brought a different kind of energy into the set. It made the look feel more personal and a little more enclosed, as if she were stepping into a private space of her own while still letting the styling speak clearly. The mask worked in the same direction, but only for a short time, because after one strong photo, it had already done its job and was no longer necessary.

So we decided to continue without it, and I think that was the right choice. Removing the mask let the shoot open up again and brought back a more direct connection to Beth’s expression and presence. For me, that shift is what made the session interesting, because it showed how a concept can evolve in the moment and become stronger by letting go of one element once it has made its point.
