Latex in an Abandoned House

This shoot with Alexandra Corneille took place in an abandoned house on a former military training facility, and the location set the tone from the start. Cold, rough, and unforgiving, it was the exact opposite of comfort. That contrast is what I was after. The smooth, reflective latex against cracked brick walls and scattered debris created a strong visual tension that carried both the photos and the video. From my perspective, the space was not just a backdrop; it was an active element shaping every frame.

It was freezing, no way around that, and everyone felt it. Alexandra still delivered without hesitation. Her posture stayed strong, her movements controlled, and her focus never slipped. That kind of performance under those conditions matters. I kept the setup lean and efficient, knowing the environment was already demanding enough. The result is work that feels raw but intentional, artistic without drifting into chaos.

From another angle, this shoot shows how commitment elevates a concept. The abandoned setting could have overpowered the latex, but it did not. Instead, Alexandra matched the location with presence and discipline, making the material feel even more striking.
