Kasumi Goto Performance

This marks a significant moment, my first whole latex ballet shoot with Sophia Levine. I’m always searching for that perfect blend of strength, grace, and undeniable allure, and I truly believe we found it here. She moves with such command in the latex, a sculpted, powerful woman who commands attention from every angle. Some might say it’s the costume that makes a dancer, but I know better; it’s the dancer who elevates the costume. Sophia embodies that perfectly—a testament to her dedication and natural talent. I always feel a little thrill when I capture these moments, knowing that the final product will resonate with so many who appreciate artistry and a touch of boldness.

Interestingly, Sophia was inspired by my earlier Kasumi Goto series and embraced the challenge of recreating a look that pushed her comfort zone, and mine, to be completely honest. The Kasumi look is a little snug, and the zipper definitely gave us some playful moments during prep. But she took it in stride with a smile and unbelievable confidence! It’s that kind of spirit, that willingness to experiment, that makes collaborating with her so rewarding. As a photographer, I’m always seeking that spark, that willingness to push boundaries and explore new avenues of expression.

And because Sophia genuinely loves to dance, we’re already planning another shoot in February at the exact location.
