At Night in the Garage
Shooting Alexandra Malter late at night in that garage turned into one of those unexpected wins that happen when timing and attitude line up. The lighting was minimal, the space was rough, and we had to adapt fast, but the results were far stronger than I anticipated.
Alexandra liked the whole atmosphere right away, and once she saw the first images and the video footage, she locked into the mood even more. With a few camera adjustments, the scene picked up a faint Bladerunner-style glow, a mix of cold light and deep shadows that made her black latex outfit stand out with a sharp, futuristic edge.
The underground garage brought out something physical and disciplined in her. She lifted her leg high enough to hook into the pipes above and held that pose with surprising ease. That move alone opened a new direction for our next session. Her flexibility worked perfectly with the glossy latex lines, and watching her hold that pose made me think about how a more open location could amplify that energy.
Our next shoot might take place near the Rhine in Cologne, where she will have more space to move, stretch, and play with the environment. That late-night garage shoot proved that Alexandra thrives in unusual settings, and I plan to give her room to do even more of that.
