Subway Latex Dance

Imogen Roudine brought fresh energy into this shoot, approaching it with faster movements than usual. With the camera set to a slower speed, her dance translated into images that conveyed a sense of flow and motion, capturing the lines of her body in transition rather than stillness. It gave the set a different rhythm, closer to performance than posed photography.

The latex styling suited her as naturally as ever. She has grown so comfortable in it that there’s no hesitation; once dressed, she stays in it and moves freely, as though it were her second skin. This ease shows in the way she danced through the space, unconcerned with the setting and fully immersed in her own expression.

For me, it was unexpected to see just how much she enjoys keeping the latex on between takes. Instead of slowing down, she used it to push herself further, running, spinning, and moving with a confidence that defined the shoot. The result is a series that reflects her comfort, her passion for dance, and her personal bond with the material.
