Highstyle
Highstyle Poncho Fashion
This session with Arya played perfectly with opposites; the weather mocked us, the styling pushed back, and the image benefited from both. After freezing in latex at her last shoot, she showed up this time ready for heat and ended up wrapped in a heavy poncho. The irony worked in our favor. The soft, thick fabric against the polished latex leggings was striking, creating layers of texture that photographed beautifully. The poncho moved loosely in the breeze, while the latex stayed sharp and reflective, catching sunlight like a polished surface in an industrial frame.
We shot in an open, rugged location marked by old machinery and graffiti, weathered textures that gave the minimal outfit visual power. Arya looked confident, not overstyled, just naturally aligned with the scene. The warmth in the light contrasted perfectly with the deep blacks of the latex and her platform boots. It was modern streetwear meeting industrial poetry. The composition stayed strong and clean, elevating the outfit from casual to quiet elegance.
What I like most about this shoot is how it shows Arya’s growing sense of narrative. She’s already thinking ahead, talking about new directions, mentioning a Gothic concept, and that curiosity makes every session feel alive. This one was more than just about the balance of materials; it showed attitude in transition, a reminder that real highstyle starts when comfort and curiosity meet halfway.
