Contemporary Art Horse + Extra
The series presents Sayuri Kurohoshi in full black latex enclosure with a horse mask, taken across two distinct settings — a clean studio environment and an outdoor park location that pushes the concept into genuinely unexpected territory. The studio images work in high-contrast black and white, the total enclosure reading as sculpture against the white backdrop, every surface sealed and the silhouette unbroken from boots to mask. The park series adds an entirely different dimension: the same fully enclosed figure standing on a public path, surrounded by grass, trees, and open sky, creates a visual collision that makes both elements more interesting through opposition.
The corset, cuffs, and gloves complete the hardware across the outdoor series, their steel finish catching what light reaches through the overcast sky. Sayuri's approach to enclosure has been consistent throughout her work on the site, and this series represents its most complete expression — not just full coverage but full character, the horse mask transforming the figure into something that exists outside conventional categories of fashion or fetish and sits more comfortably alongside performance art.
Taking that into a public park without hesitation is a statement in itself.
