Heavy Rubber Contemporary Art

For this Contemporary Art shoot with Grace Stout, I wanted to explore how glossy surfaces, bold styling, and clear, bright light could transform the body into something sculptural and surreal. Grace wore a full black latex catsuit and matching mask from Fantastic Rubber, towering platform boots from Pleaser, and a simple collar from SM-Factory that subtly grounded the look in fetish elements without overpowering the visual concept.

Throughout the shoot, I focused on strong poses that stretched or compressed Grace’s form into almost abstract shapes. The reflective latex caught the studio lights perfectly, creating clean highlights and sharp contrasts against the pure white backdrop. Working with Raymond was, as always, a smooth collaboration—he knows exactly how to catch the angles that make the most of these bold materials and the striking styling.

This series with Grace feels like an experiment in turning the familiar into something alien. Covered head to toe, she hid and exaggerated her identity through the mask and precise makeup. The result is a set of images that sit between fetish and Contemporary Art, calculated, glossy, and slightly unsettling, showing how pose, material, and light can push a body beyond itself.
