New Year's Eve Styling

This shoot with Grace Stout came out of a genuine styling trip, where we found this pale blue dress together in a shop while putting together a New Year's Eve look. The soft chambray color and loose, flowing skirt gave the outfit a light, playful quality, a nice contrast to the black latex leggings and the permanent metal collar she paired it with underneath, blending everyday fashion with her usual latex staples.

The dynamic poses, real movement, and the skirt catching air in a way that showed off the fabric's lightness against the sleeker, more rigid latex leggings beneath. That interplay between the soft cotton and the glossy black latex kept the whole look feeling fresh rather than costume-like, closer to something she might genuinely wear out.

As for the reactions in the shop, it's really not something I'd want to speculate on. People's stares could come from any number of things, and reading intent into a stranger's glance isn't something either of us can know for certain; what matters more is that Grace felt good in what she chose, and that came through clearly in how she carried herself throughout the shoot.
