On the Bridge at -4°C

With Rhina De La Tex, it all started with nothing more than an idea about where our next shoot should happen. Sometimes that is enough, especially when a location carries a sense of urgency, and this one did exactly that. The bridge was already marked by the feeling of an ending, standing beside the new structure with only a short window left before it would disappear, so we knew we had to make use of it while we still could.

That gave the shoot a very specific energy for me, because it was not just about styling or composition, but also about capturing something in its final moment. There is always a different kind of tension when a place is temporary, when you know that what surrounds the model will soon no longer exist in the same way. That awareness shaped the way I approached the session, making it feel more immediate, more deliberate, and more worth the effort.

What made it even more intense was the cold, because we went through with it at just -4°C. That kind of temperature changes everything, from how long you can work comfortably to how much focus and determination it takes to stay present, but we did it anyway. Looking back, that commitment is a big part of what made the shoot so memorable to me, because it was driven by timing, trust, and the decision to create something strong before the opportunity was gone.
