Latex Under & Over Clothes

Latex can shift from statement to subtle layer depending on how it’s styled. This shoot centered on that idea. The base was a black latex catsuit: sleek, reflective, and form-hugging. Over it came a dark mauve dress, soft in texture and intentionally contrasting against the latex’s high gloss. The corset on top completed the look, tying structure and femininity into one visual line. The industrial background amplified the effect, making it modern, raw, and unapologetically grounded.

It was never about hiding the latex but about allowing it to breathe alongside other fabrics. The mix of matte pleats and polished shine defied expectations, proving that latex can coexist with texture-heavy clothing without losing its power. The layers built a rhythm, one surface leading to another, the corset anchoring everything together.

From a photographer’s point of view, the most compelling detail is how light behaves across those materials. Under the sharp daylight, the latex reflected at every angle, while the dress absorbed just enough brightness to balance the frame. The result was effortless confidence, strong, self-aware, and utterly wearable beyond the studio.
