White Latex in the Circus

Sometimes the best locations are not planned. With Sophie Green, we were driving around, scanning for something unexpected, when we came across a circus setting up for its first show of the day. We asked, they agreed, and suddenly we had access to a backdrop that felt surreal without being staged. Sophie had already been wearing her white latex outfit for several days, and by then it looked completely natural on her. The glossy white against the deep blues and bold circus graphics created a sharp visual contrast that required very little adjustment on my part.

What stood out was how unfazed she was. Walking through a circus environment in a full white latex catsuit and matching boots could feel exaggerated, but for her, it had already become routine. From one perspective, the scene borders on absurd in the best way, a futuristic figure stepping into a classic entertainment world. On the other hand, it shows how quickly latex shifts from costume to second skin when worn with enough confidence and consistency. The longer someone stays in it, the less it looks like a statement and the more it looks like an identity.
