Highstyle
The More Accessible Highstyle
After taking in some feedback, Beth May and I adjusted the direction and stayed with the leggings to create a more accessible highstyle look. The idea was to keep the shiny legs as the visual anchor while pairing them with fabrics and layers that would normally be worn with nylon stockings. This shift was intentional. I wanted the look to feel wearable, relatable, and still clearly styled, without losing the edge that makes highstyle interesting.
The outdoor setting helped underline that approach. Instead of isolating the outfit in a studio or harsh industrial space, we placed it in a calm, everyday environment. From behind the camera, I focused on flow and natural movement rather than strict posing. The shine of the leggings contrasts gently with softer materials, proving that latex-inspired elements can blend into familiar fashion contexts without feeling forced.
From another perspective, this shoot shows how small changes can open up a concept. Highstyle does not always need to be extreme to be effective. By dialing it back slightly, the look becomes more approachable while still maintaining character.
