Latex Ballerina in Pointe Shoes

This shoot with Amelia Ledoux was a first for me in a very specific way: a ballerina in full latex, working on pointe. The idea was simple but demanding, and that is exactly why I wanted to do it. Amelia brought full control and discipline to the set, dressed head to toe in black latex. Even the pointe shoes were covered with latex socks, which changed both the look and the difficulty. From my perspective, this was about respecting her craft while translating it into a completely different visual language.

The location stayed raw and industrial, which gave the performance something to push against. Ballet is usually associated with polished stages and soft light, but here the elegance had to hold its own in a hard environment. Amelia handled that effortlessly. She moved with precision, held her balance, and delivered a compact but convincing performance without turning it into a spectacle. I kept the camera work clean and patient, letting her form and posture define the frames.

This shot shows how latex can intersect with discipline rather than just attitude. Pointe work in latex is not a gimmick; it requires focus and trust in the material. Amelia delivered exactly that, and it shows in the images.
