Highstyle at the Lake

This highstyle shoot with Anka van Ayken took us straight to the sea, with a thunderstorm rolling in faster than expected. The light was unstable, the wind kept shifting, and the pressure was real. That tension worked in our favor. Shooting in those conditions sharpens decisions and strips the process down to what matters. We pushed forward, stayed alert, and were lucky enough to wrap without getting hit by lightning.

Anka held her ground calmly, balancing elegance with the raw atmosphere around us. The contrast between the refined styling and the restless sky gave the images their edge. From behind the camera, I focused on strong posture and clean lines, letting the environment add drama without overpowering her.
