A shoot with Ankha van Ayken always brings the right mix of focus and play, and this time we pushed her into a highstyle editorial direction. Instead of relying solely on full latex, we paired the glossy black suit with a clean purple dress and a feathered headpiece, giving her a sharper, more theatrical edge. The basement location was far from glamorous, but that contrast was exactly what I wanted. The harsh white bricks, the exposed pipes, and the cold radiator created a raw frame around her refined styling.

She moved through the narrow space with that slow, deliberate control she has, letting the latex catch the light while the dress shaped her silhouette. Even without the fog machine, which decided to break at the worst moment, the atmosphere held. Ankha used the walls and corners as if they were part of an editorial set, turning the limitations of the basement into strengths. Her poses stretched the room visually, giving us a polished mood despite the rough environment.

In the end, the shoot worked because she fully committed to the concept. She knows how to balance elegance with edge, and stepping into a basement in full highstyle fashion did not shake her for a second. This set shows how far we can push editorial work on latexperiment even without perfect tools. Sometimes the broken parts force you to be more creative.
