Into the Woods

Some shoots don’t need complex planning; they just need the right setting and mood. This one with Beth was built around the fallen tree we found: weathered, hollow, and full of character. The contrast between her refined, goth-inspired outfit and the raw texture of the old wood carried the whole composition. The latex corset and stockings lent structure and sleekness, while the muted tones of her dress and pale hair softened the edges. Nature framed her naturally, no props, no tricks; just attitude meeting decay in the most beautiful way.

The tree acted like a stage, shaping both her pose and the light. Shooting at this spot was about using those rough textures to play against the polish of her look. Every beam of sunlight filtering through the canopy hit her outfit differently, highlighting the interplay between latex shine and fabric matte. It wasn’t about creating tension but about letting both worlds—elegant and raw—exist side by side.

We had talked about finding a bunker for this session, but the forest offered something just as moody, with less control and more emotion. The result feels grounded, as if the woods had accepted her presence. It’s goth elegance without overstatement, the kind of beauty that thrives on its own contradictions.
