Morning at the Finca
For this series with Catherine Reus, I wanted to use the quiet atmosphere of the finca early in the morning. The balcony gave me exactly what I was looking for: clean architecture, open space, and a softer landscape in the background that made the styling feel even more controlled.
Building the Look in Layers
The base was already strong with the black catsuit, corset, high heels, and toe socks. Together they created a very clean silhouette with enough structure to work well in the morning light.
What really pushed the look further were the steel elements. The collar, cuffs at the wrists, additional cuffs on the upper arms, and the ankle pieces added a much harder visual language to the outfit. I liked the contrast between the polished metal and the smooth black surface of the catsuit because it gave the whole appearance more depth without making it feel overloaded.
Between Fashion and Restraint
That balance was the interesting part for me. The styling has clear references to restraint, but I did not want the image to become about that. I wanted the steel to work more like jewelry or armor within the fashion language.
Catherine carried that very well. The result felt strict, elegant, and slightly distant, which suited the quiet morning atmosphere perfectly.
For me, this is one of those combinations where the smallest details change the entire character of the image. The catsuit and corset create the silhouette, but the steel gives it its identity.
